A friend of my uncle posted this picture on his Facebook wall. It’s a bunch of them back in the day hanging around a Coco-Cola fountain in Bulawayo. Just. Too. Cool. Damn, will someone make us a fountain like this.

If you read my blog you will know that I have a slight obsession with all things ceramic. Here are a few pieces i’ve spotted along the way that I wouldn’t mind getting my obessed little paws on.
Love this teapot by Dennis Shields. If someone doesn’t make your tea just the way you like it, you can conveniently take them the hell out, without even having to get up. Bang bang.
This wonderful piece of art by Makiko Nakamura.
These great wedding cake toppers. If I had known these exsisted 3 years ago, I so would of ordered one. Anyone getting married soon and in need of the best cake topper in the world that will have even your boring-est aunt oohing and aaa-ing over it?
Found these absolutely beautiful porcelain mobiles by LE PETIT ATELIER DE PARIS on the Pretty Pretty blog. The wolf one is my most favourite, he has a pet cat and his own camera, it’s me, by ceramic wolf me.
My friend Adriana makes these pretty pieces, she draws so well. Hello Adriana xx
She also pointed me in the direction of this little guy, who in turn led me to the salt and pepper sailing boats.
Let’s face it I could go on forever with this post, but I think I’ll end here before I bore you all to ceramic death.
Just posted up my very first ‘nice things’ list on itswhatiminto.
I found some nice stuff, I think, so enjoy xx
Today I bought myself a Remote Shutter Release device, or what I like call a ‘clicky-thing’. Yip, I no longer have to self time any photo ever again. I’m the king of my own clicks now. No more waiting for the self-timing flashing light on my camera, counting me down to when IT says it’s photo time. No ways, now I make that decision all by myself and all I have to do is click and wave.
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to discover that my camera actually has a plugin hole for this very device. I’m over the moon, in case my stupid face above hasn’t given that away already.
**Hey, I’m going to both the Zara and the Mr Price concept store (super excited for this) launches tonight, are any of you going to be there? If you are going and see me, please come say hi, i’ll even let you play with my ‘clicky-thing’.
Today is mine and Shane’s 3rd wedding anniversary. I cannot believe it has been 3 years since we said yes and yes in Clarence. 3 years that I have shared my life with one of the most amazing people I have ever met. I love you Shane Durrant.
A few years ago I made Shane the banner below for our first anniversary and this morning he found a new one in honour of our 3rd. I saw this idea somewhere along my internet travels and have never forgotten it, hope the owner doesn’t mind that I borrowed it in the name of love.
Love homemade banners, they make me so happy.
Last night we flighted Dirty Dancing at one of our Wolves movie evenings (the last of these events sadly). I can’t believe how much I love this film, I was stuck in the moment Shane pressed play and because we were watching it in a room full of people, most of them strangers, I had to a. stop myself from singing out loud and b. prevent myself from dancing and I don’t mean small, sitting in a chair dancing, I’m talking wide arm movements and possibly some fist pumps and dropping to the ground action. I felt like a sparkler with a blanket over it’s head. So sad.
Anyway the last time I watched this movie I was in my early 20’s and I loved it then as much as I loved it now. In fact I think I will love it every time I watch it. Who of you out there are Dirty Dancing fans? You’ll know what I’m talking about.
*I can’t believe how young Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze are in this film, they were both so smooth in the face.
