The other day I went to a lunch held by Art Logic that gave us a sneak peak at what to expect at the Sanlam Handmade Contemporary FoodWineDesign Fair this year. From what I can see from the small display they put together to entice us, there is going to be some really beautiful things to lust after and some really amazing food to dive face/hands first into, I really can’t wait.
Ok so I got super spoilt by the team over at Dear Rae. WOW. I received a beautifully packaged ring yesterday with loads of photos of their new Let’s Go Tropsi Collection, which is really pretty and delicate and made up of glints of gold, native shapes and lavish colours that come through in the use of precious stones. I’m a huge fan of Dear Rae’s creations, in fact every time I wear any Dear Rae piece that I own, someone asks me where it comes from. I find everything that they make so simple and unfussy, but really eye catching and beautiful at the same time and I’m super happy with my awesome ‘delicious monster’ ring that they sent me, which I definitely think needs some friends, because they look so good stacked.
Jane Sews Spring Capsule is now available to buy online, all you have to do is click here, choose, then enter your credit card details and you’re a-for-away. There are such soft, pretty pieces to choose from, when I was going through them now I felt like I should be on holiday somewhere warm and flipping amazing. Holiday soon. Yes please.
Their new line of leather shoes and accessories are also listed online, there are some really beautiful designs, so good luck choosing just one pair/thing.
The lovely folks from Charlie + Sophie sent my Nina James a parcel the other day with the sweetest clothes in it. You know that I’m all for local stuff and this is just that, local and awesome. I think their stuff is so cute and simple, wish we could find more things like this in the shops. How cute are their little playsuits?!
I came across this brand, Luckyboysunday quite a while back on someones site, there 6-finger pillow had me at first sight and then I went to look at all the other quirky and flipping awesome things that these ladies make. I would love one of their finger pillows and one of their strange, but oh so amazing knitted dolls for Nina James.
I love it when local people make awesome local things to share with the rest of us local folk. And that’s my I’m happy to tell you about this company called Veltwerk that make such cool leather (vegetable-dyed leather sourced from local tanneries) and velt bags. They have just launched their new online store and everything on it is worth a lust over. So I thought I would share their products with you and if you feel like a bit of a ‘spoil yourself’ moment, head on over to veltwerk.co.za
