Chiaozza makes quirky, fun furniture like colourful shelves, mirrors, birdhouses and some crazy plant sculptures. I wouldn’t mind some of these pieces in my house. And then when I was putting this post together I realised that I blogged about this couple’s super awesome loft apartment in Brooklyn last year sometime. Hello everybody, hope you all had a wonderful weekend… and are having a lovely Monday morning.
This weekend I went on a bit of a shop, I was looking for new cushions for our couch and a black and white rug for Shangie’s room. Lucky for me, those are the exact things that I found, I literally walked into a few stores and came out with the stuff I needed. I also scored a few other very cool things this weekend, that fit nicely into my monochrome colour scheme, so I thought I would do a black and white post showcasing them all.
I found this very awesome rug at Mr Price Home, you can’t see it in the picture, but it’s a good size and they had a few others that were really nice too, so if you’re looking for rugs, go check them out.
When last did you see a carpet hanging in someones house? I remember when I was young seeing a few of these pieces here and there in my friend’s parent’s houses. I never quite understood why they had carpets hanging on the wall depicting scenes of pleasant picnics or a peacock sunning itself, but now that I’ve seen Swiden’s Coast Wall Hangings, I’m all for this fad from the 80’s. I would buy the watermelon raining down on the peach in a flipping instance.
These lovely little leather creations are by a company called Blackbird And The Owl. In 2012 I blogged about them and yesterday I went back to see if they had some new treats for my eyes to feast on, they did and here are some of my favourites….How sweet is the gold polkadot clutch?
Puma is forever spoiling both Shane and I and yesterday was no exception. They came to say hi and with them they bought these 2 super cool pair of shoes that are so light and so comfortable it’s actually insane. I put the white and green pair on last night and it honestly felt like I wasn’t wearing any shoes.
So it is nearly Christmas time, it’s nearly time for all of us (hopefully most of us) to go on holiday and forget about all work related responsibilities and just eat as much food as humanly possible. Well, this is at least what I plan on doing in the the next couple of weeks, for a couple of weeks.
