I have a deep love for all things pretty that have been made my hand, especially ceramics, in fact I may or may not have a weak spot for them so when I came across Amor Coetzee’s work, especially her ceramics I found myself swooning. Amor is a Cape Town based artist who has a beautiful range of ceramics and illustrations under the brand – Dayfeels.

Amor’s ceramics allow her to experiment with texture, contrast, abstract shapes and patterns to create hand-made, one of a kind pieces which are just too pretty for more words. So I’m going to stop typing here and let you see them rather.

The Canyon Series by Amy Hamley

I absolutely love this ceramic range called The Canyon Series by Amy Hamley. She hand paints porcelain pieces with 14K gold luster. How super luxurious is that? I wouldn’t mind if my entire dinner service was made out of The Canyon Series.

It feels like if Willy Wonker were the King of England, his royal crockery would all look like this and I mean this in the best possible way.

Pretty ceramics from Koromiko

Came across this online store called Koromiko that stocks the prettiest ceramic pieces made by all different designers. I pulled off all the ones I would buy in a heartbeat. They have a bunch of other really nice things for sale too, so check them out if you feel like a bit of a shop.

Sandra Lemmer – Antique Shop

When Shane and I went to The Midlands a couple of weeks ago we drove through Winterton where we came across an amazing antique shop called Sandra Lemmer. It’s located in an old house, which is packed to the rafters full of all sorts of vintage goods from all eras and it has been laid out so nicely. They have a section that looks just like an old general dealership and it has all sorts of vintage products on shelves, on the walls, in draws. I love how things were designed and considered back in the day, everything came in such beautiful packaging from hairnets to medication, wish we could go back to that.

Back in the day my gran, the lovely lady above, was and still is now a beautiful woman, who always takes so much pride in her appearance. When I was younger I always remember her being so well put together, her hair was always made up and she always had the prettiest jewellery on.

Vipoo Srivilasa

This ceramic work is by Thail born ceramicist Vipoo Srivilasa. His pieces are highly collectable and he has exhibited widely through Australia and internationally. I can see why people would go gaga over his work, it’s so unexpected and unusual and the detail on some of these characters is nuts. I would be more than happy to snatch up like 10 of these works if I could, just think they’re all super awesome.
