On our first night in Japan our host took us to one of her favourite sushi restaurants. Everything about this place was so cool, it was exactly how you would picture a Japanese sushi restaurant to look and the food was good and plentiful.
This place had some crazy looking pieces of fish going around the conveyor belt. I ate a few things that I had never tried before, but I drew the line at the giant looking snails, they were a bit too weird for my liking.
They had such an awesome scanning system too. At the end of your meal you don’t count your plates, the waitress literally just scans over the the pile with a special machine and Bob’s your Uncle, you have your bill.
