I have posted Orla Kiely’s collections up before because I think they’re so playful and fun and their Autumn/Winter 13 is no different. It heads straight back to the 60’s with a big helping of textures, bright colours and sweet sweaters and the photo shoot is nothing short of cool. I love the typing pool idea and how everyone is so serious in their jobs but looking oh so fresh and dressed to make anyone smile from ear to ear.
I think the squirrel jersey is my most favourite piece.
– Orla Keily’s AW was pretty much a scene from a periodical series set in the 60’s based in say an advertising company; cue Mad Men. The 60’s seems to be the decade that keeps resurfacing. Just when you thought the ambiguous hemlines had drowned in the sea of trends, then you see the winged eyeliner and beehive hair do’s make a comeback. With a ridiculous amount of subcultures and trends it’s only logical that the decade continues to influence so many aspects of the world today. We are beginning to reach a point where those things are becoming so frequent, they are almost staple.

Oh, to live in an Orla Kiely lookbook! I want to go to there!
Absolutely love this. Thanks for sharing 🙂
