There is an artisan bakery located in The Michealangel Towers called Knead, which we visited the other day. It’s such a cool spot and not what you would expect to find in a mall. It’s a bright, well designed and a breath of fresh air that serves beautifully baked breads and cakes and serves one mean tasting Flat White.
Knead has a nice sounding menu, which includes breakfast and lunch items and they have a built in pizza oven which fills the air with the smell of cooking pizza – one of the best smells ever!
We didn’t have food when we went, but we most certainly tucked into some of their baked goods. Oh yes! We had one of their Rocky Road Brownies, which was dotted with mini marshmallows and was needless to say, delicious. We also tried a mini Milktart which was yum and a couple of Flat Whites. We also bought ourselves some fresh Rye bread to stuff our faces with later on (it was good).
So next time you’re in Sandton City, why not give old JB Rivers (I do not like that place) a skip and visit Knead instead, you/your stomach will be glad you did.
