They arrived. Hip hip hooray!

A little while ago I posted about a bunch of books that I really really wanted from KK Publishers. Shane ordered some for me as part of my Christmas present, we weren’t sure if they were going to arrive or not, but they so did. They came to my house yesterday. I’m so stoked and postage was only 6 pounds for both. I got the shooting gallery one, don’t know if you remember, but this was the amazing story of a lady called Ria van Dijk who in 1936 when she was 16 received a photo of herself shooting a target at a shooting booth at a fair. She went back every year thereafter to get a photo of herself shooting. The book is a collection of all her photos from 1936 to 2008! How rad?! This woman is a shooting genius.

I also got Couples, which is a series of photographs of couples posing in the same place in the same way but one at a time, cause there was no one around to take a picture of them together. I love this book, I want Shane and I to make one. We’ve started already, in fact we have quite a few photos that we could use. I’m thinking maybe 30 would be enough for a cool book. Hmmm…. maybe they should all be polaroids, which would mean that we would have to pretty much start again, but what the hell.
