The other day Anna-Belle, Gareth and I went to Rolling Cherry, which is an awesome indoor rollerskating rink in Maboneng. I haven’t put on a pair of skates in years and you know how they say that you never forget how to ride a bike, well I don’t think the same rule applies to rollerskating, well at least that was truth in my case. I used to be a whizz on rollerskates, fearless in fact but I was more like floundering this time around. It was still super fun though and after a while I started to get the hang of it, even though I took myself out a few times ha!
So if you are looking for something out of the ordinary to do with your friends or kids or even by yourself, pay Rolling Cherry a visit and relive a bit of your youth. They played such cool music when we were there, but I’m sure if you go with your own big group they’ll let you plug in your own playlist, so that before you know it you’ll be rolling around to ACDC or whatever takes your fancy. They also have a kareoke room, yip you heard right! How much fun?
You can find Rolling Cherry at 7 Sivewright Avenue, Johannesburg, it’s a bit hidden, but it’s there! It’s open Thursday to Friday: 18:00PM – 22:00PM, Saturday to Sunday: 09:00AM – 22:00PM. Mondays to Wednesdays: Closed. Contact: 079 247 2331
