The other day I took a drive with some friends to Pretoria for a meeting and afterwards we decided to try out a new restaurant that I’ve been hearing about called Lucky Rodrigo. I thought, because of the name that it was a Mexican restaurant, so all of us were cheering for chilli poppers in the car, but unfortunately it’s not. BUT we did have some of the best homemade cheese burgers I have ever tasted and I’m not a huge burger fan, but I was loving this one.
Their menu is very simple, but what it lacks in choices it makes up for in taste. Their decor is also very cool. The thing I liked the most about this space is their skinny outside section that has small tables made out of old Singer sewing machines. I thought that was such a clever idea and I loved all the hanging plants.
So if any of you are wanting to try out a new place, I say you check out old Rodrigo and order onion rings, because damn they were tasty.

Gee whiskers that place looks cool! And those chips! Smash them into my face! Awesome, so going to check it out asap!
this looks great – I see they do a veggie burger – yay for diversity!
We still own one of those machines 🙂
Were is it located?
My grandma will kill me – it’s still working.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
