I left today for Cape Town where I’m going to shoot a Chicken Licken ad for the next 4 days before I go to the Design Indaba for a further 4 days. Whenever we have a TV shoot we always always go overboard with the food situation. I mean we eat like we haven’t seen anything that even resembles food for the past 7 months. Today was no exception, we started off with Wimpy and a bumpy plane ride (sad face). Guys I suck with flying, I’m a bad, cry-ie flyer. I really don’t like turbulence or taking off or landing. Yes I’m a scardy cat, but I not embarrassed to admit it. Today on the plane we hit some sort of wind something that bounced us all out of our seats a bit, we all crapped ourselves, I had to hold my breath to stop myself from crying like a dog who has just realised that no one in the real world can actually hear him talking. But anyway…..away from flying and back to food. Yes I like this subject.
We then went on to have fresh oysters, fish and chips, then wine (in the car ha!) and then we ended the day with the flipping best avo ritz ever, an amazing rump steak with escargot and butter sauce and last but not least homemade ice-cream and dark chocolate sauce. Yiss yum!
We are shooting our ad, which I can’t tell you much about now, in a place called Wolseley -anyone ever been there? And we’re staying at the Rijks 5-star Country House in Tulbagh. Guys wow, this place is wonderfully amazing. The rooms are great, the food we had is some of the best I have ever tasted (2 pictures above)….and this is the view I get to wake up to for the next 4 days – nothing but mountains, vineyards, lakes and awesomes. Shoo I lead a tough life sometimes.
Oooh ok I lied, this is the last thing i’m going to stuff into my pie hole tonight. Yup it’s just me, my complimentary fluffy white robe and my marshies (wrapped up marshmellows on your pillows instead of chocolate mints, nice!). Good night friends, see you all in the morning x x

Lucky little wench!!!!! Hope to see you next week – any chance you can come to my birthday picnic in Kalk Bay on Monday evening? If not, I hope we’re going to see you during the week, next week. I’m going to the Indaba on Friday morning and then I’m going camping again. When will you be there?
yes, i’ve been to wolseley, it has some of the best wine and olive farms in the cape. happy days!
enjoy your stay in our fair city, and don’t stress so much about the flying you’re not alone, i only manage it by flying drugged – legally that is 🙂
