Desmond and The Tutus have just released a brand new video for their song ‘What Am I Gonna Do With You’. It was filmed in 2016 on the band’s recent tour of Japan and it’s too awesome! I mean it was shot in one of the best cities in the world and this song is pretty damn cool too, so it’s a win-win situation.

I love the fact that I’m surrounded by super talented people all the time, I always think to myself that I’m so lucky to know and get to feed off so many cool people that are always in the process of making cool stuff. One such person is my very talented friend Josh Kempen has just recently joined Warner Music South Africa team and on Friday released his debut single The River, which is such an awesome song!
Josh is one of many local musicians that I think need and deserves all the support in the world, so support him now and download his song here. You and your ears won’t be sorry.
If you haven’t heard the sweet voice of Josh Kempen, then you need to change that as soon as possible. This young man is a talented songwriter and musician and an all round nice guy who we got the opportunity to shoot a couple of weeks back.
Churche together with Josh and his absolutely beautiful girlfriend Bella Pinto spent an afternoon together taking photos, eating apples and just shooting the breeze. This is the second band shoot that Adi and I have done under our Churche label, you can check out the first one here if you’d like.
We really like how these photos came out, hope you like them too. I have included the whole shoot below as well as one of Josh’s music videos because I seriously think that everyone needs to become a fan asap.

Yeeeeha! My boys are at it again. Desmond and The Tutus together with Hanro Havenga and Ben Rausch have created a fun filled karaoke inspired music video for Pretoria Girls.
Warning guys this video will make you want to dance and sing out loud, so make sure you give yourself some space and that you’re not in the middle of something serious whilst watching it, like open heart surgery or things of that nature.

This weeks Lucky Song Friday is by local Joburg artist Joshua Kempen. Josh has just recently recorded his debut EP with Thor Rixon in Cape Town and has just released his first two singles, ‘You Are The One’ and ‘Midnight ship. Both these songs are so pretty and so worth loads of plays. Josh’s music reminds me a bit of Devendra Banhart, Jeff Buckley and Vincent Gallo.

Teenagers is the latest single from Desmond & the Tutus and it’s my most favourite song on their new album Enjoy Yourself. Nina and I listen to it at least once a day. Well I listen to it and sing a long, whilst Nina James just stares at me probably wondering what the hell I’m going on about.
They also shot a super rad video featuring their friends and some cool parts of Joburg, including some of their old haunts that they used to play in when they were just baby Desmonds.
