A little while back Anna-Belle and I literally stumbled across this amazing French restaurant in Linden called A la Bouffe, which we was one of the first restaurants that we featured on Jobest. We were so glad that we found this spot because honestly their food was some of the best I’ve tasted in a while. Everything, including the bread is homemade right in their kitchen and once a dish runs, out then it’s no longer available for the day. I’m still dreaming about their Goose Liver/Chicken Pate we scoffed down, shoo.
A la Bouffe is run and owned by head Chef Romauld, who is French to the bone. He is in the kitchen personally preparing and watching over all dishes being made, which is evident because the standard of food is very high.
There were four of us eating so we got to order an array of dishes and none of them disappointed. For mains we had Chicken Breast and Sweet Potato Stew and the Rib Eye Steak, with gravy and hand cut chips. Both were really good, especially the Chicken Stew, it was hearty and delicious. We also had two different desserts, Homemade Chocolate Mousse and Homemade Fruit Sorbet.
We had such a lovely afternoon at A la Bouffe and I would definitely recommend this spot for a good French meal and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
