Last night Shane and I went out to supper with my granny (pretty lady in the picture below). She is such an amazing woman, she’s 86 and still as sharp as a tac and as young looking as a 65 year old. I was admiring her rings, when she realised that I wasn’t wearing a wedding band, just my engagement ring…. she whipped her eternity ring off that my grandfather gave her over 60 years ago and gave it me. It makes me so happy to wear it and to know that it belonged to my gran and it’s something that means a lot to her and now a lot to me. Thank you yiayia, love you so much xxx
Ah, now that just warms the cockles of my heart. I wish I still had a Granny.

How divine! Such a beautiful ring! I’m mostly envious that you have a granny, mine died when I was 5! I really missed the gift of grandparents growing up. Now go give her a hug for me – hee hee!
