Today I’m going to chat about curtains, or as I like to call them, a window’s Sunday Best. I love me a good curtain, they add such an awesome and simple design element to a space and they’re also such a nice and fun way to spruce up a room without having to break the bank… Especially if you look in the right place 😉
I was sitting in our bedroom the other day and was thinking about how we put up a curtain rail about a year ago and still haven’t hung anything on it haha! And it’s not because we don’t want curtains, it’s just because we haven’t gone out and looked for something that we might like.
I must be honest, whenever I’m out and about I don’t often think about popping into the curtain section…so I thought that instead of popping out I’d pop online instead and look for a few drops. Is that what they’re called? Have I got the curtain lingo down?

I’m really liking the velvety ones, especially the pink! Love that they look lux and a little ornate which I think will go nicely with our steel art deco bed.
I also quite like the white and black grid patterned ones, not for our room, but they could be really nice in a dining or a kid’s room perhaps?
