Oh, Busty Boy, our sweet little Dachshund puppy love! We have had this boy for about 2 and half months now and I honestly can’t imagine our home without him in it! He is the sweetest little sausage with the sweetest little face, and he has really planted himself firmly into each and every one of our hearts!
The folk at EUKANUBA were kind enough to send Buster some of their puppy food to try and in exchange, they wanted to hear about some of the ways we like to spend time with him outside, to share what kind of adventures we go on, so below is a small list of a couple of things we like doing with old Busty Boy :)
He is still quite small, so we have only recently started going to dog parks with him and man does he love it! Well, he loves what he knows as the “great outdoors”, whether it be the garden or the park, he just loves being outside! He literally darts in and out of bushes and flower beds the second he gets an opportunity to do so 🙂 This kid has energy for days! I mean, I can’t keep up and neither can our actual kids!
Another big one is fetch, which is so cute and so much fun and such a cool way to tire him out a little. Shame, we had to buy him a smaller tennis ball because a regular one was too big for little yapper. He takes “giant’ leaps in the direction the ball has been thrown and is very chuffed with himself when he comes sauntering back with it.
I don’t know about you guys and your doggos, but ours also loves being chased. He will literally play that game for hours if we let him 🙂 and he’s so darty that he’s usually the one always winning! This is one of my favourite things to do with him because it gets my heart beating a bit, even though I’m always the first one to give up haha! I suck at running. Always have hahha!
Because we live in a flat, we have limited space, so the kids and Buster love playing tug-of-war, or what I like to call pup-of-war. It works with literally anything, a towel, a chewy toy with a piece of rope attached, a blanket and in some cases a Barbie doll (it’s been known to happen in or house), but this game is a real winner!
Getting a little fur baby has been the best thing we’ve done this year! I think we still have a good couple of things to learn about being dog parents, but it’s been cool learning a bit from the EUKANUBA fam (who have been around for 50 years!!!). Also, thanks for making mealtimes, Buster’s favourite time of the day, besides being ‘chased’ by me 🙂
