Check out these cool paintings by Beth Zimmerman, I particularly like the food ones, I like that she’s taken ordinary fun everyday shots of people and made them into art, wish she had more of them.
– My current work is meant to allow the viewer to escape through an intimate, yet psychological, abstracted reality through which realism is juxtaposed with abstraction. Through my work I am exploring means of sexualization as well as materialization, eroticism, fragility, and enticement. Branching further away from realism, I strive to allow a connection between objectivity and beauty. My inspiration derives from erotic personifications, as well as, mineral imagery and formation. I am currently based out of Brooklyn and am pursuing a B.F.A. degree in Illustration from Parsons The New School for Design.
