On Saturday, Shane, Doug, Craig, Will, 2 of Craig’s friends and myself decided to go to Monte casino to bowl cause they have a bowling alley that stays open till 2:30 in the morning. We went bowling and it was nice, but then Will and I decided that we wanted to go to the casino for a little bit. We gave ourselves a R200 limit.
For the next part of my story I need you to keep in my mind that Shane does not gamble or drink at all. Doug and Shane had disappeared for a while and when we found them they were both playing roulette whilst holding a double gin and tonic, I had won R200 on roulette a bit early and decided to join them. And now to make a long story slightly less long, l’ll cut to us driving home at at 3:30 in the morning with lank winnings in our pockets and many wonky theories on how we should go back and win every time cause Doug is lank good at maths and he could work it out for us. Yup, the Durrants creamed it and the casino and all it’s players hated us because every time we won anything we would all joy-shout, loudly. People were not amped, but we were heeeeeeeeeeeee.
So yesterday we took some of our cash monies and went shopping. I bought this money mane and beard – Do you like theΒ floating fingers? Yes it’s hard to believe that I haven’t been awarded some sort of art director Photoshop award for my mad comping skills. Anyway……Shane and I contemplated (not really) buying the ridiculous feathered jackets below and then walking around Sandton City in ‘slow motion’.
You will be happy to know that we quickly bailed on the idea, but I did however come home with this sweet grey and blue stripped ‘elbow patch’ jersey from Trenery and a very nice pair of dark grey pants, which I didn’t shoot (sorry, didn’t have time this morning) and this super chunky navy blue duvet of a jersey, which is so warm and big and awesome. Love these big jereseys with the plait detail, I love them a lot.
I like it when you don’t expect an evening or day to turn out the way it does and you land up having the best time ever in the most unexpected way. Make sense? Yes.
Were your weekends cool?
