Last night I was lucky enough to be invited to the Topshop launch in Sandton City. I have been waiting for this shop to come to South Africa for ages now and I’m very happy to say that it is amazing and I don’t think you are going to be disappointed by what they have to offer. Your credit card slash invisible money on the other hand is probably going to have a nervous breakdown because of all your purchases.
And the best part about Topshop being here is that they are going to bring in their clothes as they come out overseas, so no waiting a season. Whatever is in fashion and in demand overseas will be here for us too AND they are getting new stock in every week. So exciting.
So back to last night…well I went, I saw and I spent money. The funniest part about my purchases is that out of the 6 things I bought 2 are jerseys which I just had to have, now please keep in mind that I’m typing this while our fan blows not left, not right, but directly into my face. Yes it’s that hot.
But don’t fear, there is Autumn and Winter wear, but there is also loads of Summer stuff too. There are patterns and florals and denims and studs and rhinestones and lace and velvet, yes velvet and sequins and silks etc etc etc… And boys you will be happy to know that the guy’s section is also super awesome, you are going to be so happy. So when your female loved one wants to go shopping, I suggest you head along too for a bit of a spend.
As for how much things cost, you’re looking at pretty much Zara pricing I would say. An average t-shirt is about R280 and a blouse R300-R500, a mans suit jacket is ±R1000 and my jerseys where ±R700 each. Sorry didn’t look at shoe prices…
Here are some picture I took of the shop and the launch and the next post will be about what I bought home with me.
Happy shopping guys xx
I cannot wait to go check it out. I’m waiting till payday 🙂
Love the photos you took! Wish I lived in JHB, but I’m in Durban far far away from the Topshop magic.
