Oh internet you are so full of wonderful and completely bizarre things and what I love the most about you is that I get to sit in the comfort of my own home eating a bag of Flings while you show me stuff I never even knew existed. I love you and I always will because you bring me things like – Toilet Paper.
Whilst I was looking around yesterday I stumbled across something called Toilet Paper, which is a bi-annual magazine conceived and produced by artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari. I don’t know who either of these 2 people are, but I wish they were my best friends because their minds are like wonderful crazy pieces of solid gold. I went to their website, which in itself is a flashing wonderland of bizarre imagery and products and slowly but surly I started to get what they were putting out there, which is nothing short of crazy amazingness. The magazine, which is mostly made up of photographs always centres around a theme – “Every issue starts with a theme… Like love or greed,” says Cattelan. From there they explore a variety of outlets, eventually landing on a series of well-crafted and thought-out content.
They have also transferred some of their work onto clothing etc Their latest project comes in the form of kitchenware, which was designed with Seletti and if I had half a chance I would buy every last piece of this series.
