Today I’m posting the next story that makes up my 3-part series that I’m doing with ‘Create With Canon’. This time around I took the little Canon PowerShot SX600 HS that they gave me to The Patisserie in Illovo. I’m surprised I didn’t get cake all over the lense, because I was pretty much getting up close and personal with all the awesome looking sweet things that they had to offer.
Have any of you been to The Patisserie in Illovo? It’s been around for a while now and it is one of the prettiest little French themed cake shops in town. It’s full of all sorts of baked goods that’ll have your pudding compartment (located just behind the stomach) doing The Macarena, whilst simultaneously high-5ing all other organs. From it’s pink candy-striped wallpaper to the silver antique teapots your tea comes in, everything about this little spot is just too nice.
I popped in the other day and had lunch for the first time. Their menu is small, but what they have to offer is super tasty. I had a homemade Tomato and Feta Quiche that was so flaky and buttery (in a good way) that I had to stop myself from ordering another one. Then afterwards I had a Chocolate Cupcake AND a pink Pettifor. Please don’t judge me.
The Patisserie is one of those places that instantly makes your eyes bigger that your stomach and you just want to grab a trolly and fill it with cake, cake and more cake, so be prepared.
The Patisserie is open Weekdays: 07:30 – 17:00 and on Saturday: 07:30 – 14:30.
