This Friday a new group exhibition is starting at Wolves at 6pm. It includes a bunch of talented young individuals and is being headed up by Miss Amber Smith who did a successful solo exhibition at Wolves a while back.
Come on in on Friday and come a look-see, I’m sure there will be something that takes your fancy… below is a sneak peak of a couple of the works going up.
A new exhibition is going to starting today at Wolves, it’s called No Man’s Land and it’s one I don’t think you’re going to want to miss. Four very talented artists, who include Sonia Dearling, Jaques Kleyhans, Nina Torr and Maaike Bakker are showing their work. They are all super talented individuals and the pieces are really cool. There are a few that are prints available in limited numbers and then a bunch that are originals painted or drawn on glass. You must come have a look if you can, you won’t be sorry.

There is a family run restaurant called Cafe Del Sol in Olivedale that my friend Nick told me about quite a while ago, he said that this place has the best Italian food in Johannesburg. I love Italian food, lets face it I love all food, but if it’s coated in pasta then even better! So Shane and I went to go check out Cafe Del Sol and boy we were happy we did. But be warned you have to call ahead and book a table because it’s pretty damn popular, but once you take your first bite of whatever you have ordered off their menu, you’ll understand why.
This Thursday my friend Marsi van Heuvel is opening her show at Tonic at No. 3 Desmond Road, Kramerville. Marsi is one of the most skilled artists I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in real life. Her work is so fine and detailed that it makes you go crazy looking at it, because you just can’t comprehend the amount of work and patience that has gone into every piece. Below I have included only a few of the amazing pieces that are going up, there is still lots more that forms part of this show and believe me when I tell you, that this work will only be properly appreciated when seen in person.

It’s almost that time of the year again, almost time for the MasterCard Winter Sculpture Fair 2014. it’s going to be held at the same amazing spot in Johannesburg, The Nirox Sculpture Park over the weekend of the 10th and 11th of May. This year they are going to have double the number of restaurants coming through from Franschhoek, as well as close to 100 pieces of amazing art on display, by over 50 artists.
