Marietjie has sent some new Skermunkil stock over to Wolves and it’s so pretty and geometrical and lovely. I have already snapped up a wrist bracelet, I unwraped the parcel and stuck it on my arm almost immediatly. I don’t wear bracelets, but these are just too sweet not to have. They are all at the shop, so if you feel like treating yourself to a square or a circle, head on over. 3 of the bracelets are gone already, but there are a couple left xx

My friend Marietjie makes these beautiful ceramic head lamps. When I was in Cape Town for the Toffie Festival I stopped past her stall and swapped her 2 packs of Polaroid film for this severed beauty. I hung Lucy (that’s what I’ve named her) up this morning above our bed. I’m hoping she’s going to shed some light on me book pages, so that Shane can snooze while I read all about Led Zeppelin’s debaucheries.

This weekend I acquired 2 necklaces to add to my now huge collection, I can probably go a whole month without wearing the same necklace twice. I love my impulsive buying habits and invisible plastic money.

 

The first one I bought from Marietjie and I got it on sale, whoo, this metal beauty only cost me R150. Yes I totally scored.

I bought these little from Mr Price……sweet isn’t it?

oooh oooh and then there are these little guys hahahha, which I found in an awesome little cafe in Wolseley. When I asked if I could buy all of them, the lady behind the counter asked me if I was sure, hahaa. I bought one for each special lady in my life. Marina, Gina, Karensitic and Stubs – SURPRISE. And yes you HAVE to wear them. Hehe.

Design Indaba Expo

Every year at Design Indaba there is an expo that happens were many talented people gather to show their talented stuff which is then skillfully acquired by talented credit cards far and wide. I didn’t have a lot of time to walk around, but I managed to snap a few pictures of some very cool stuff, that I wish was sitting nicely packed in my suitcase right about now. I bought a couple of things, but I think i’m going to go back tomorrow after a good nights rest to see if I can damage my card a bit more.
