Honest Chocolate Cape Town

Honest Chocolate Cape Town

When we were in Cape Town we went past Honest Chocolate. My word. I walked in. I tasted. I bought. What a sweet little shop, I loved the simplicity of it, it made me feel like I was in a little store in Paris. The owner was very cool, he told us all about the chocolate and let us taste some, little did he know that if I had half a chance I would have tied him up and then proceeded to roll around in whatever melted chocolate he had in the back. I would have swum through it like Scrooge Mc Duck in his vault of gold.

We bought some truffles and the sweet little men below, we also got a bar of orange flavoured dark chocolate, they barely lasted the flight home. Shame.

Gina King is now a Anderson

February 8, 2012

I have been in the Cape for the last few days, getting ready for and attending my best friend Gina King’s wedding in Stellenbosch, she got hitched there on a beautiful farm. The wedding was very very pretty and super fun and she looked amazing. I was one of her bridesmaids, Amy (you remember talented Amy?) made my bridesmaids dress for me and she did a damn good job. Thank you Gina King and Beardface for the lovely wedding and for the dancing into the dark night and thank you Amy for the dress and Luke and Jen (Shane’s cousins) for the lodgings and chats till 12:55 in the morning and thank you CT for the good times.

Feeeeeeed me Cape Town.

February 17, 2011

I left today for Cape Town where I’m going to shoot a Chicken Licken ad for the next 4 days before I go to the Design Indaba for a further 4 days. Whenever we have a TV shoot we always always go overboard with the food situation. I mean we eat like we haven’t seen anything that even resembles food for the past 7 months. Today was no exception, we started off with Wimpy and a bumpy plane ride (sad face). Guys I suck with flying, I’m a bad, cry-ie flyer. I really don’t like turbulence or taking off or landing. Yes I’m a scardy cat, but I not embarrassed to admit it. Today on the plane we hit some sort of wind something that bounced us all out of our seats a bit, we all crapped ourselves, I had to hold my breath to stop myself from crying like a dog who has just realised that no one in the real world can actually hear him talking. But anyway…..away from flying and back to food. Yes I like this subject.

On Saturday I flew with Desmond and the Tutus to Cape Town where they were playing at the Rocking The Daisies Festival. The show was awesome and so was the venue. Wow. It was so beautiful, there was green grass and mountains and colourful flags. It made Oppie look like Hilbrow on a Saturday afternoon just before the sweetie man comes to visit. What? I don’t know. All i’m saying is it was super cool and my boys played a damn good show.
