Fairs are nice and so are nice things.

November 26, 2010

Last night I went to the Food Wine Design Fair in Hyde Park. There was some very very rad stuff there, which i’m sure a lot of you will like. I took photos of the things I thought were cool, have a look and see what you think. Met nice people like Karin, she makes the beautifully delicate rings pictured below. Met Marietjie from Skermunkil properly, what a sweet face. Her new gold range is amazing  -love the gold swan, it’s so very sweet and gold. Shane’s cousin Luke was there. Him and his business partner make the coolest furniture, you have to take a minute and check out their site. I’m not going to write about all the people i’ve included in this post. I have written their names next to their products in case you want to googlrize them. Which would be totally worth it, cause their stuff is crazycool.

We didn’t go around tasting wine, that section was pretty busy, but we did try to see if we could at least move the red plane. Forget about it! It wasn’t going anywhere.

If you have nothing to do this weekend and want to eye out some cool stuffs then I would suggest going to this shindig, it was pretty fun. Over and out x

We’re going to-nighta. Whoo.

November 25, 2010

Shane’s cousin Luke who is exhibiting his awesome furniture at the Food Wine Design Fair, gave me 3 tickets to go to the pre-public opening to-nighta. Whoo! So Jo, Karen are getting our foodwinedesign eyes on and we’re heading on over at 6 – I just hope we can buy stuff hee.

It’s taking place on the roof at the Hyde Park shopping center, which is right across the road from us. I can see it from my balcony outside my office. I’ve been watching them setup all week and i’m so damn excited! Look a plane. Maybe, if the 3 of us have enough wine tonight we’ll see if we can fly it right the hell out of there. Ha. If we do do that it’s going to make one flipping awesome blog post tomorrow. Hmmm….I wonder if prison has the internets.
