HOLIDAY49

Hello and Happy New Year everyone. We are back from our road trip, back in Johannesburg and nearly back at work. Wolves and Good Luck Club reopen tomorrow whooo.

Shane and I had an awesome December, we drove through the Cape and stayed in such pretty places. We went to Port Elizabeth for Shane’s cousin’s wedding, to Riet River where we stayed in Shane’s mom’s beach cottage, to Knysna, then to Paternoster and finished off at the Augrabies Falls.

I had never been to Knysna before, this was my first time and I must say it is beautiful. The town itself is pretty built up with lots of houses and shops etc, which I don’t really like, but the surrounding areas, the sea, the lagoons, the green hills, the tress are just so beautiful. And the water is so nice to swim in. It’s warm and calm. We really enjoyed our time there.

I just want to say thank you to everyone one of you who still come and visit my blog, I’m very grateful for the support and love and I’m looking forward to many more posts with you guys xxx

Here are a few photos of my holiday so far. Hope a lot of you are already on yours and loving it.

This was Shane and I after we closed up Wolves and Good Luck on Thursday night. We literally danced and laughed all the way up to our flat.

This is Leigh and I moving our old tables out of Wolves. We replaced all of them with new ones, which are super cool. Below is a picture of a corner of one.

We stayed in the Humewood Hotel on our way to Shane’s cousin’s wedding in Port Elizabeth.

This place literally makes you feel like you have time warped back to 1983. It’s flipping bizarre.

Shane’s beautiful cousin Jen, who is by far the raddest looking pregnant lady I have ever seen. No lies. She is 4 weeks away from giving birth to their first little boy.

Facebook Instagram profile

November 14, 2012

Checked out my Facebook Instagram profile page the other day that the magic internet elves setup for me. I got a notification on my phone and then there it was, a whole streaming page full of my pictures. I really like it, if you do too, you can hit follow and become my friend on Instagram. if you want, then you too can see what I get up to here there and everywhere.

I don’t know about you guys, but I love instagram. When I wake up in the morning it’s the first thing I check. It’s like my little personal peephole into people’s lives and when it goes on the blink every now and then I literally feel sad. I’m not sure if that in itself is sad, but oh well. Ha.

19 July 2012 – Birthday times.

July 19, 2012

Today is my birthday. I love birthdays, I really really do. It’s one day where you get to feel special in your own little way whether people know it’s your birthday or not. And it’s the only time that it’s acceptable to eat your own birthday cake with your own face, with absolutly no hands and NO one is allowed to say a thing. Which is how I decided to roll on my second birthday, I love the kid next to me, he’s like “what cha doin?”

And i’m back.

July 11, 2012

Hello everyone……..I have been in Durban for the last few days with my folks, that’s why I haven’t been posting. We thought we would take a drive down on Friday so we could check out the Durban July on Saturday. I have never been to The July before so I was amped to go see what it’s all about.

The whole trip was really cool, I got to got to the rugby with my dad, which just by the way I still don’t get. I know people love rugby, but unfortunately I will never be one of them and I think i’m cool with that. But it was fun to got to the stadium and shout at the top of my lungs hehe.

The Durban July was interesting, to say the least. It’s a fashion event where people are meant to wow everyone with their beautiful dresses, hats, suits etc but I think I saw 3 well dressed people and that was that. I have never in my life seen so many ugly matric dance like dresses gone wrong all in one place. It was fascinating. But annnnyywwaaay…. I guess as long as they had fun. Right? Right.

My most favorite thing that we did in Durban was go bike riding on the Durban Promenade. My mom and aunt were against the idea the whole way there, but then when we got on them their bikes, everyone was super amped. My mom was loving it, my dad was trying to do wheelies, my aunt was zig zagging through the crowds like a 4 year old high on Oros. It was so so much fun. We also went to a really pretty place in Kloof called Makaranga, which is a lodge built on the most beautiful grounds. There were so many lush trees and ponds and flowers and walkways – have any of you ever been there? It was so pretty.

So here are some Instagrams I took over the weekend, shame my real camera stayed home most of the time, poor little guy.
