Seeing as it Mother’s Day soon I thought that I would make the month of May ‘Mother’s Month’ so I’m giving away something every week until the end of it, starting with an amazing prize from an even more amazing store! Keep reading to see where I’m going with this…

One of my favourite things ever is walking into a shop and being surrounded by things that make my heart backflip a little, do you know what I mean when I say that?

I’m an absolute sucker for beautiful interior goods and when they have been displayed in a space that makes you want to move in and make it your home, then I know that my credit card and I are in some serious trouble! Guys, I’m not going to lie the second I stepped into the store I’m going to tell you about I had to take a deep breath because there was so much to see and want! It made me so happy and a little sad because I knew that it wasn’t possible to have one of everything.

Situated in the ever charming 44 Stanley is a shop called The Storer, owned, filled and run by one Mrs Lisa Storer whose passion lies in searching for unique and expertly crafted pieces from around the world. Also, a dream job if you ask me! The items she sources are rare and beautiful and she likes nothing more than to share the history of their communities with people who appreciate such exceptional
craftsmanship. In other words, you can walk into her shop, ask her about any piece and she will be able to tell you about it, which is so awesome because it makes you feel like you’re buying something really special rather than just yet another mass produced item created in a factory.

GIVEAWAY: Nutribullet Baby Bullet

My baby boy who is over seven months old already (insane!!) has started eating solids, which just, by the way, he is really into! When he sees a bowl and spoon coming towards him he literally starts squealing with excitement, it’s so sweet.

We got a Nutribullet Baby Bullet which means I get to make Rex and Nina James all kinds of cool things and the best part is it comes with an array of bits and bobs which makes using it pretty easy and fun! I mean just look at the packaging, isn’t it just too sweet? I love the smiley face design and the retro green and cream colours they’ve used, it’s all just too perfect and the kit comes with the best accessories. There are little happy-faced storage containers which come with their own simple dating system so you know exactly when you’ve made every batch. There also two silicone trays so you can freeze food or make fruit popsicles, which in Summer are going to go down a treat!

Last week I started my 5- day long Lucky Pony Bonanza Giveaway on my Instagram account where I gave away one awesome local product a day for 5 days. The response to the giveaway was amazing! I was blown away by everyone’s support and I’d just like to say thanks so much to everyone who entered and well done to those who won. BIC Love Your SA

Every now and then I quite enjoy exploring Johannesburg town, I don’t do it often but when I get the opportunity to go with a group of talented photographers I take it. Last Saturday I joined BIC for an Instawalk in the city to highlight their brand new Love Your SA campaign, which is all about celebrating the uniqueness that is South Africa and involves asking the public to upload their favourite photos of South Africa onto the ilovemybic.co.za microsite for a chance to win R5000 and get their photo and IG handle printed on a BIC Lighter. How cool is that? Imagine walking into a corner shop to buy a lighter and then getting to quietly or not so quietly brag that it’s your photo adorning the outside of it.
