Caryn, the lovely creator of A Bird Named Frank has just sent us some beautiful scarves and scarf brooches. We are selling the scarf/brooches at Wolves for R300 a set, but if you just want a sleeping fox or a curious owl or a sweet bird brooch by itself, then you can buy one for only R160.

Hello art, tell me how you’re doing.

I thought I would post some pictures of the art pieces I made for our exhibition that is still up at Wolves (and will be till the end of April). I chose 5 things in my life that mean something to me, things that are a part of my everyday and how I live and feel, like the plane represents my flipping super fear of flying and my laptop is there because I spend a hundred million hours on it a week. I have been working on these pieces for quite a while now, it was a project I started last year and pulled out every now and then when I felt like just relaxing. I’m so happy with the way they came out and my framer boxed framed them beautifully. The hairy man is Shane by the way. Obviously.

My friend Frank has a friend who lives in London named Maria. I have only met her once, but she was nice enough to buy this beautiful bow necklace. She wrote me a note saying that she saw it and thought of me and so bought it – what a cool thing to do. I LOVE IT. Thank you so very much x x it’s going out to dinner with me to-nighta!
