Kaye Blegvad

January 24, 2013

This is the work of London-born Kaye Blegvad who is an Illustrator, designer, general maker-of-things. and the proprietor of Datter Industries. She is all about documenting ideas, process, sketches, offcuts, snapshots, items of interest and finished work and she is damn good at what she does.

I’ve once before blogged about her amazing jewelry and I came across her site again the other day and saw some of her other work too, which I think is really interesting, so I decided to post up some of her drawings and clay pieces and some of my favourites from her jewelry range.

* Her hairy lady face reminds me of the embroidery I made of Shane a couple of years ago. I should buy a print of hr face and hang it up next to the one I made, would make a nice combo.

Twinklebird

November 19, 2012

These super charming pieces of jewelry are made by a lady named Christine Kallen-de, under her label Twinklebird. Guys she has an Etsy shop, yip you can have any, if not all of these beauties. How pretty is the gold ‘big dipper’ necklace and the gold cloud ring below? WANT.

– My aim is to design jewelry, which is interesting, unique and has elegance and simplicity along with a reasonable price tag. I find inspiration in tiny things around us, small details and I enjoy thinking of new concepts. The collection develops continuously and all jewelry are designed and made by me, with care…

Kitty kat

November 14, 2012

Thanks Stubs for finding these, I think everyone needs a porcelain cat brooch in their lives. Quick question, are 9 cat brooches on one jersey too much? I also didn’t think so. Yay for cats.

This is the work of Harriet Damave who makes unique hand painted Porcelain Delft blue Jewelry, wall hangings and ornaments. All items are hand formed and hand painted in the traditional Dutch Delft technique using cobalt oxide and transparent porcelain glaze or tin glaze
