When I took my family’s old passports to be framed I also took these drawings that I did of my parents when I was young. These were Christmas presents that I gave them one year – a one of kind, signed original by A.Batis. Hahaha it has all the important bits, the Merry Xmas, the part about loving them, the eyes that look like bicycle spokes, because i’m such a sucker for detail and then obviously my signature, because no great piece of art is complete without one. Obviously.
New shinies.
November 8, 2011Marietjie sent all these wonderful pieces to Wolves yesterday – just in time for Christmas wish lists. I got Este to try a few of them on so you can see how nicely they sit. There are some really nice ones and i’m struggling to keep my hands off them.
I have of course already claimed 2 of them. Damn it I can’t help myself, I know I don’t need anymore necklaces, but I just don’t know how to say no. When I look into their geometric shaped eyes all I can hear is “hello Angie, take me home so I can make some new friends”. I bought the 2 below, thought they made a nice combo.
A friend of Este’s is coming to Joburg in December, so we just ordered ourselves early Christmas presents online. Look at my new soon-to-be Pins & Needles sweater. Ooooooooh can’t wait for this chap to get here. When it arrives, I think i’ll take it out for a double thick milkshake and a little dance in the night.
It’s nearly Christmas time. It’s nearly holiday time. It’s nearly eat as much food as your poor little stomach can hold then wait 8 minutes and go in for seconds time. I love December – Things slowly come to a halt at work, the sun is parading out and about everyday, you are so close to getting to spend actual days with people you only get to see after 5pm and on weekends. Whooo good times ahead.
So seeing as it is nearly Christmas and seeing as I have so many lovely followers who read my blog and send me such nice mails and comments, I thought I would get some of my blogger friends together and do one last big giveaway post.
Below are 8 wonderful people who have all given something awesome towards this competition. Each block contains a number, the piece/s they are giving away, a picture of their lovely mugs and a bit about them.
