When last did you see a carpet hanging in someones house? I remember when I was young seeing a few of these pieces here and there in my friend’s parent’s houses. I never quite understood why they had carpets hanging on the wall depicting scenes of pleasant picnics or a peacock sunning itself, but now that I’ve seen Swiden’s Coast Wall Hangings, I’m all for this fad from the 80’s. I would buy the watermelon raining down on the peach in a flipping instance.
I went and had a look at a few of their other designs, because they make all sorts of things from tea towels to prints to rugs, to bags, to cushions to wooden decorations, which I’m also sold on by the way. So if you have some free time and want to check out some colourful stuff, you should check out their online store.
