Yesterday was my birthday and I got to spend it with 2 of my favourite people in the whole world, my Nina James and my Shane. I got so spoilt by Shane and Nina (I’ll save that gift for another post), but I also got such a cool package from the guys at SodaStream. They sent me one of their new metal and wood veneer machines, which is absolutely beautiful and goes so perfectly in my kitchen, it’s like it was made just for it. I set it up over the weekend and every time I pop in there I shoot it a little smile because it looks so damn good. It’s like a mini trophy wife that can add fizz to water. Amazing.

SodaStream has been around forever, I remember having one as a kid and abusing it like crazy. We’d make bottles and bottles of the stuff just so that we could press the button and hear that familiar shhhhshshsssssisshhh sound – you know what I’m talking about, I hope hehe. What’s cool about them is that they have kept evolving over the years and their machines just keep getting better and better looking and they keep adding to their flavour list too, they have over 60 flavours to choose from, it’s nuts! You can even make your own cocktails with some of their syrups. We made our own concoction the other day, with Ginger Ale fizzed water which we then added Ginger liquor and freshly squeezed lime to with lots of ice. It was amazing!
So seeing as it’s my birthday MONTH (yes there is such a thing) I thought it would be awesome to share some of my gifts and SodaStream agreed with me, so I have the exact same machine to giveaway. Yay! I wanted to have some fun with this one, so to enter I want you guys to please tell me what flavour SodaStream syrup you would come up with if you could make any flavour you wanted. I thought about it a bit and my flavour would be ‘Marshmallow Puppy’. Mmmmmm delicious.

Oh my gosh, I still have my ancient soda stream, but an upgrade would be the best birthday prezzie! (My bday is on the 28th July)

While I love their existing cocktail flavours, I’d love a Pimms and Strawberries flavour 🙂

Maple Syrup & Bacon Flapjack Stack. I remember my Gran’s Soda Stream and having to find the syrups that were hidden away, only to be caught out by the “GREEEEH!” noise it made when you gassed it too much.

Can I just say how gorgeous this new machine is. I have wanted a soda stream since I was like ten. Ridiculous. My flavour – whatever happens when you mix the glamour of champagne with the summer of pimms!

Vanilla, Bitters, Lemon & Strawberry Flavour. These are my favourite flavours in drinks. And to combine them would be mind blasting! I would love this soda stream. It would make giving up plastic so much easier. 🙂

Since both myself and Sodastream have matured since our Creme Soda making days about 20 years ago, I’d make a Gin & Tonic flavour which would be just as refreshing and fun!
