Live in Levi’s – The Sartists

We have been working on a series called Live in Levi’s®, where we feature different people who literally live in Levi’s. The Sartists, Wanda and Kabelo, are two of the biggest Levi’s collectors in Johannesburg and they have literally spent hours and hours, month after month, year after year, thrifting through piles of clothing to find rare pieces of Levi’s, from silver tabs to vintage dungarees.

We interviewed them about their collection and made this short film about them and their good obsession.

Here is another instalment in our Live In Levi’s project. Say hi to The Sartists, Wanda Lephoto and Kabelo Kungwane, who are two of the most passionate and real people you will ever meet. They love fashion, heritage and good design, they make an effort to appreciate brands that really care about the end user. The duo are know as The Sartists, they are both currently busy with their formal fashion education while styling, customising and documenting fashion on the side. These two have put their heart and soul into fashion, and one of the brands that they are really passionate about is Levi’s.

A while back I posted some pictures of the lovely Miss Miss Ying-Poi De Lacy wearing a Levi’s denim jumpsuit for our Live In Levi’s series, and today I’m posting a video we shot of her at her house, where we asked her a few questions about herself. Ying is a young lass who is into all sorts of cool things like filming, editing, dj-ing, playing an assortment of instruments, as well as being a regular feature in the super cool band Bye Beneco.

Next up in our Live in Levi’s project is young Miss Ying-Poi De Lacy. This pretty face does all sorts of cool things, from filming, to editing, to dj-ing, to playing an assortment of instruments to featuring in the super cool band Bye Beneco . We went and took some pics of her in her house where I got to lust pver her Levi’s denim jumpsuit. So awesome. Sigh.

Nikki is an art director at TBWA Hunt Lascaris and an all round lovely face.

Live in Levi’s with Makosha Maja

We-are-awesome and I have started a brand new Levi’s series called ‘Live in Levi’s’ and first up is the lovely Makosha Maja. We gave Maja some Levi’s loot to buy herself some new things and then we asked her some questions about denim and things of that nature.
