Came across these interesting pantings by British artist Sarah Ball. She has 2 series entitled Accused, which are made up of paintings of fugitives from back in the day. Their crimes vary from fire starters (KKK), to activists, to poisoners to prostitutes to people who are just simply labeled suspicious & dangerous or whose crimes were unknown.
By painting them in this manner it almost changes how you look at the person in the picture, in so many of them I don’t see a criminal, but just a normal person looking back at me. There are a whole lot of them and they are all as awesome as these, so if you would like to see them, just click here.
