I’m very excited to tell you guys that Adi and I have finally come up with a name for our collective, we’re calling it Churche (website is on it’s way) and we’re so excited to do more shoots together and build this little project into something super awesome. Ps: If any of you are keen to follow us on Instagram here is our handle Churche_za.
We just recently got together again to shoot a new look book for a Cape Town accessory label called Rakky. Rachel is the talented force behind these handmade, hand painted one-of-a-kind beauties which I’ll have you know are even more awesome in real life. After looking at these necklaces we knew that they would be perfect for one of our shoots and because they’re so playful and colourful it felt like they needed a setting that would match their quirky charm, so Adi and I lovingly built them some cat hats, as one would. We then paid one of our favourite places in Johannesburg a visit Cataholics and there together with our awesome model Lenny from Bye Beneco and our six handmade hats we created this new series for Rakky.
We had such a cool time beforehand playing with all the cats and when we did our shoot we used a group of kittens who were just the sweetest things. Almost all of them landed up falling asleep in the hat baskets, it was so cute. If any of you are looking to adopt a cat please please go to Cataholics, they have amazing animals who are all looking for loving homes. I had to stop myself like over hundred times from taking one home. If Shane wasn’t allergic AND asthmatic I shudder to think of how many cats we would be living with right now.
Anyway back to the look book…. like I said we had so much fun creating and shooting this one and we really hope you enjoy it. If any of you are wanting to spoil yourself with one of these necklaces you can order them online. Hooray!
