Gypsey Rose – Churche

Gypsey Rose - Churche-13

A while back Churche was asked by local label Gypsey Rose to shoot their look book for them and seeing as Adi and I love creating and shooting stuff just as much as we love eating Super C’s and Nik-Naks (we LOVE eating Super C’s and Nik-Naks), we jumped at the opportunity and photographed an array of clothing that is very different to the stuff that we have shot in the past.

Gypsey Rose makes very girly, pretty clothing that is loose fitting and super comfortable to wear, it’s made up of loads of patterns and so we wanted to shoot in an environment that was beautiful, by stark enough so that the clothing would stand out. We also wanted to create a couple of bold headpieces for our model to wear, to add a bit of fanciness to the shoot. These headpieces scratched the living daylights out of our hands whilst we were making them, but I they were worth it.

Bite Me - Exhibition by Churche

Adi and I are so excited for our first Exhibition by Churche called Bite Me. It starts at Wolves tomorrow night and will be running until the end of the month. We wanted to create pieces that were fun and added a bit of humour to a room. There are 12 artworks to choose from and they are all A2 digital prints going for R490 a pop, available from Wolves or directly from me. If you’re keen to buy one just drop me an email (angie@luckypony.co.za) and I’ll make a plan to send it to you via the post.

You may have seen half the collection already in a previous post, but here they all are again.

Ps: No food was harmed or wasted during this shoot and all the Twinkies found a safe home in my stomach afterwards.

Living Yoga-8

Hey guys my next post is all about a shoot that I did with Adi under Churche for the wonderful Sarah Bentz who is the owner of Living Yoga in Craighall. Sarah is a certified Jivamukti teacher and works with the most amazing team of like-minded teachers and I had the honour of spending the afternoon with her and one of her team members Jo. We chased the light in the most amazing heritage house on Jan Smuts and I’m so so pleased with how these images turned out.

Below are just a few of the shots from the series I really hope you like them and as always all comments are welcome and as well as all enquiries 🙂 If you would like to work with Adi and I then just drop me a mail and we hopefully we can make something awesome together soon!

If any of you are looking for a new yoga studio and a new yoga family to join, I highly recommend  Living Yoga, Sarah and Jo are two of the calmest and nicest people I have ever met, they’re both a bit like walking rays of sunshine!

Henriette Botha-1

Adi and I have been dying to do a Churche shoot! The last time we worked together I was so huge and almost ready to give birth to my baby Rex. It’s been a good few months since we’ve teamed up to shoot something for our little collective and that’s why I’m so excited to share this new series with you that we created for local jewelry designer Henriette Botha’s new range.

African-Bazaar

Lucky-Pony-6

This is a photographic project that I have really been wanting to share with you guys and now I finally can! Near the end of last year Adi and I under Churche worked together with the awesome folk from The Spanish Coalition on a little project called African Bazaar. Working with the team behind this and the amazing Emy (I mean how beautiful is she?!) was such a treat and I’m so happy with the end result. Please let me know what you think of it, I would love to hear your thoughts.

The Spanish Coalition’s (who are a great little advertising agency if you’re looking for one) concept behind this project is really cool – African Bazaar’ was inspired by the informal economy of this city. This catalogue exhibits some of the bizarre and miscellaneous things you can buy in and around the streets of Jozi.
