Nice Guy Johnny is not so nice

June 20, 2011

Guys last night Shane, Craig and I went to the movies, we were quite early for them and so the only one showing at 7:30 at the art cinema was Nice Guy Johnny. Oh. My. Imaginary. Sack. Balls. It was one of the worst movie I have ever ever seen. It looked like it was shot on a handy-cam that was given away for free with a magazine. The main guy in it was as charming and manly as a used wet wipe, he looked like Al Pacino’s long lost short cousin and he sounded like a 12 year old girl who loves to talk about ponies in a baby voice.

I know it sounds like I’m being lank harsh, but there was honestly nothing nice about this movie except for the main girl, who really wasn’t a half bad actress and super pretty in the face. She saved the whole thing, but still she’s not reason enough to sit and waste 89 minutes of your life huffing and puffing at how predictable and weak this movie is. I thought I would post about it and warn you guys not to go see it, but you don’t have to take my word for it x xx

Have any of you seen any really cool movies lately?

I saw Water For Elephants not so long ago and that was good. I even enjoyed it more than the book… I also watched Due Date not so long ago and that was quite funny!

I saw The Lincoln Lawyer last week, it was pretty intense and suspenseful if you like a good courtroom drama with twists…strong plot right until the end…the ending was a tad bit disappointing.

I saw Sucker Punch recently… lets just say that there only so much hot chicks in cool costumes and sfx fightscenes can do for a movie with a poor storyline. Strictly teenage boy material!

I watched sourced code last night which was okay but little disappointing. Jake Gullenthal was very pouty and harrassed throughout, ha ha

ooooh i forgot! if you’re looking for an oldie but a goodie definitely get your hands on Delicatessen. One of the directors, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, directed Amelie. Its a french black comedy about a building of weirdo misfits and their landlord. super cool. yes.

chrisna – Oh man, how much do you wish you hadn’t seen it?
I was so sad, in retrospect I should of made everyone leave or taken a super long nap.

Thanks everyone for the other suggestions x

I’m not usually into movies like Thor but I really enjoyed it. Love the parts that happen in space. And although it’s not showing anymore The Secret Life of Bees is my favourite at the moment. I’d like to see Jane Eyre too. And I also heard Hanna was good. x
