In the post below is the very cute pillow the lovely Cecile from local company Ménagerie sent me as a gift for baby Shangie face, so I thought I would show you guys a few of her other furry friends that she’s had made up, maybe one might catch your fancy and you land up with a new pet for your house. Below is also a bit about this sweet little company and how the ideas for these fun cushions came about.

– As an avid stalker of internet sites that feature home tours of creative people, it often struck me that there was always a pic of an adorable pet somewhere in the house, usually a cat, artfully complementing the décor, and that the comments would all say things like: ‘”Nice house, where did you get the couch? – OMG your cat is adorable!” So Menagerie came about as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the design communities’ love of cute pets in their homes. They are handsome animal friends for your couch!
– The cushions are screen printed by hand in dark grey water-based ink on thick 100% cotton cream fabric with a lovely linen texture. They are backed in cotton twill in a soft stone color. They are plushly stuffed with unicurl for maximum cuddles and great recovery. They are printed in a course bitmap pattern which up close can seem quite abstract, but take one step away and their personalities come shining through.
