I am such a sucker for things that are nicely packaged and that contain nice things to eat. I could literally spend a small fortune on stuff like that and then feel a bit sad when I’m tearing open the wrapper to get to the goods inside. But there is something so nostalgic about things that come in considered packaging. Back in the day everything you bought came in something that you probably wanted to hang onto afterwards, which was so clever of the manufactures if you think about it because then their logo was always in site and in mind. Now days sweet wrappers or boxes are normally the worst thing about chocolate.
There is a local couple who started Melissa’s Food Shop and if any of you have ever been inside one you’ll know what I’m talking about when I say it’s a bit like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2015. Their shelves are packed with such beautiful things that if they supplied trollies in store I have no doubt you could fill one up in no time. The lovely guys from Melissa’s sent me a voucher the other day and invited me to go shopping on their online store. I was obviously not going to say no to a free shopping trip that would end in me getting to consume some of my favourite things, so obviously I accepted.
Melissa’s online store has such cool stuff and they all come in fun, old school looking packaging complete with hand written labels. My packaged arrived today and here’s the best part, I got a R350 voucher to give to one of you guys so you too can go choose some stuff off #MelissasOnline.

I absolutely adore Melissa’s! My mum and I pop in occasionally for little treats – whatever we get we always buy those yummy veggie crisps for my dad and something sweet for us! I also love their cafe and lunch buffets, it’s good, homemade and tasty food – it can’t get better than that.

Melissa’s is one of our favourite spots when visiting Cape Town every year. We always bring a little something home like their Fabulous biscuits and candies. It is wonderful that these goodies can now be purchased online. Fingers crossed.
