I’m a sucker for popcorn, in fact, it’s something I make quite often at home because it’s so tasty and it’s so easy to eat, it requires literally no effort which is my kind of snack and that’s why I’m so excited to tell you about Maverick and Jane a gourmet popcorn store that has just opened up in The Zone @ Rosebank. This beautifully branded little store sells a number of flavoured popcorns all made with top quality Nebraskan corn and fresh wholesome ingredients, so when you’re ordering a large box of Red Velvet Popcorn you know you’re getting the real thing and not something doused in artificial flavourings. Do you like how I mentioned the large box? You don’t want to go with anything smaller because you’re going to be sad when you hit the bottom, trust me!
They have an array of savoury popcorn, the Olive Oil and Herb variant and the Cheese Popcorn are two of my favourites and in the sweet section hands down they make the best Caramel Popcorn I have ever tasted and I’m not exaggerating when I say this, but what I want to focus on in this post because I feel like no one should live another day without tasting this particular flavour is their Red Velvet Popcorn. Now guys imagine Caramel, White Chocolate, Cream Cheese and Red Velvet Cake all wrapped up into a popcorn kernel that literally tastes like your childhood. I’m actually pretty worried about how much I like this specific one because I can see myself driving out to get it all the time and for now I can blame this craving on my growing baby bump (which I am!) but soon enough I’m not going to have that excuse. Sigh.
If you are a popcorn fan and I can’t imagine anyone not being one, do yourselves a favour and visit Maverick and Jane their gourmet popcorn and slushes will have you flick flacking all over the place, as one does when they really like something.
