Look mom, I have your boots.

October 12, 2011

My friend Marina told me that Country Road and Trenery were going on sale today, so this morning Este and I quickly popped over to have a look see. I have been wanting to buy a particular pair of tan ankle boots from Trenery for a week now, but haven’t convinced myself enough that I WILL wear them, but when we went in this morning they were on sale, so that became reason enough to whip my card out and buy these pretties.

They remind me of something my mom would of worn in the 70’s. In fact I think she probably had a pair just like them. My mom’s the one on the right by the way, the beautiful hippie looking girl. Love this photograph of her!

Love your boots! Lucky I didnt see these..Country road and Trenery sales are so dangerous! I bought myself a pair of black wedges on sale at CR yesterday, they are super comfy and now I can be tall… woohooo 🙂 (yes, unfortunately I am a midget person)

Your mom seems to be just as cool as you are! Don’t you just love sales? I heard about this sale, but since I started dating a guy in Pretoria all my money is channeled into gautrain fares.
Hope to add something nice to my collection soon.
    Yay!

Angie you really do inspire me!

Uhm, so I bought exactly the same pair.
    On that sale.
Because I couldn’t say no any longer.
    Sneaked it onto my card.
Because they reminded me of my mom.

    Bit of a shoe-soul-sista moment…
