If you haven’t heard of La Fede let me tell you a bit about them…they are a local kiddies label whose design takes on a minimalistic approach that lives in a quirky, whimsical world that feeds children’s imaginations.
I bought one of their wooden cameras a few months ago from The Rock-A-Bay Fair so today when my two baby Durrants received a package from the lovely Chantelle, who is the creative hand behind La Fede, I got really excited! When I unwrapped the contents I think I squealed as loud as Nina James did because these toys are amazing in that they have that old-school vintage wooden toy and handmade woolen doll feel, but they’re really unique and cool too.
Neens and I played all afternoon with these pieces! The wooden cars came with a hand painted road which I thought was really sweet. We built Duplo houses and lined them up and down the street, NJ quite enjoyed knocking them all over!
La Fede toys are functional, decorative and educational and they inspire kid’s imagination, but what I think I love the most about them is they look super awesome in a kids room!
They have an online shop, so if you’re looking for some unique presents for your kids or anyone who is expecting, you should check them out.
Buy local! It’s the best thing to do!

Erin! You are so very sweet…I'm so glad you enjoyed those photos! (They took like a million years to edit…;-)I know, the girls there in Japan wear heels every day and think nothing of it. It always boggles my mind how they do it, even with a heavy bag, walking down steps and standing on the train in 4″ platforms. Insane!xoxoxCarly
Hanna – Thanks so much for this post – I am expecting twins this summer and have a 4 year old. And while I’m sure the next few years will be hectic this reminds me to embrace it all and enjoy them while they are still little.
