Kiki and Polly is the art made by Lisa Golightly. Her paintings remind me of memories lost, like when you can sort of remember something but not really, it’s a bit of a blur and you’re not quite sure if you are making half of it up or not. You know sometimes when you think back to when you were a kid, and you can remember certain things that your brain is telling you that you can remember, smells, people who were there, the fact that you were wearing your most favourite jersey, but I often wonder if you don’t fill in those blanks by yourself with made up stuff and what you’re actually remembering is very little. Ok I’m even confusing myself now. Back to these cool paintings, the blank faces make me think of memories lost like I said, they’re there but they’re very faint….
