So yesterday it snowed real life snow in Johannesburg and we all went stir-crazy. I know to some of you this might sound a bit lame because you get snow every year where you live, but here we don’t. Not at all. In fact the last time it snowed I was about 3 years old and looking very stylish in my white snow jacket. See picture below.
So when it started falling yesterday we all headed out to stand in it like real tourists. It was amazing.
We even made it onto the front page of Media24. Fun times.
This weather has really made my feet happy because I’ve been able to wear these super soft and warm knitted slipper-socks from Woolies. They have little track pads on the bottom and everything so you don’t find yourself slipping all over the place. If it was acceptable and practical to wear just socks outside of the house, I think I would. In fact I don’t think, I know.

it was so much fun! We stopped work and everything.
wish I was there!
I had the most fun yesterday. I think they should of cancelled work hehe

I was in JHB just for the day, and didn’t expect to see snow! It was fun, but I wish I’d brought my camera…anyway, cool pics and looks like you really had a lot of fun.
Haha,It looks like you were in jail when you were 3!teeehee! All the bars! Enjoy the snow!
Ohhh I miss SA so much.
Haha, snow-congratulations! Your socks are awesome.
I will admit that us Capetonians were pretty jealous of your snowventures (:
Haha, epic! The snow was BRILLIANT! It fell an hour or so away from Durbs but the drive up was amaze x
As luck or something would have it, I was in the Kruger park on that day! But I saw a white impala, so I didn’t feel so sad about missing the snow!
[…] all going to agree with me when I say that this Winter has been super mild. I remember us last year running around in ‘snow’ like wildlings in the streets of Joburg, but this year I think I have hauled my coat out like a […]
