this lovely little piece came for the milnerton market in cape town. the women i bought it from told me that it belonged to her mother and she reckons it’s over 150 years old. hmmmm……. i doubt it, i think the lady that sold it to me had over 150 beers before she came up with that number. but anyway i really like it and i’ve never seen a swan watch before, so i think it’s pretty special. there is a stamp on the back, it’s says Past Times, i tried google-ing it, i couldn’t find the swan anywhere. oh well….

i love this.. i collect swans.. i only have ceramic swan things.. and a really pretty brooch whick i got this holiday.. i set up my blog, but havent put anything on it yet.. i’ll put up all my swans, theyre pretty!!

That is a beauty of a piece! It could very well be 100 years or more old – i have an antique brooch from my great gran that has the same stones and marquesite craftmenship.
You Lucky Pony you!

So envious…although have you seen the enamel and brass swans, like the birds and owls i sell, buy the jeweller, ‘Skermunkil?’ Thats my friend Marietjie. She’s a legend in her own time. I don’t have pics of the swans, but here are the others. http://www.flickr.com/photos/beatnikbazaar/sets/72157618900230774/
