The other day I met a couple of awesome ladies who run a local label called Koco Bino, they have a sweet little boutique in Sandton City (Shop U81A ) jam packed full of babies, toddlers, young kids and moms-to-be clothes and just recently they launched their very own range: Koco Bino for Kids which they invited me to check out.
Their baby range is super cute, they’ve gone for graphic yet simple designs, but all the pieces are versatile and not your typical baby stuff, they’ve had fun with stripes and crosses, polka dots and nautical bits and pieces. Their toddler range is a bit fancier but definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something to put your little one in for a special occasion. They stock all sorts of items from hats to shoes to dresses and suits as well as cool little bits and pieces like toys, prams etc
I picked out a few things and then put together a little shoot with my kiddos. Nina James is so used to being in front of the camera and I’m guessing that by the time Rex is 1 he’s going to be exactly the same way. Well, that’s if I have anything to do with it hehe.
I thought I would try something a little different with Nina James so I chose to shoot her in a pretty nautical dress and yellow headband and then in an entire outfit that I got from the boy’s section. There is just something too cute about high-tops, chinos, and a bowtie!
I also shot my Rex in two different outfits from their latest range. The dungarees he’s wearing are actually reversible, gray on one side and stripes on the other, I wish my wardrobe operated the same way! My baby did so well hehe. It’s going to be so awesome when I can shoot these two together.
All items featured in these photos, except for Nina’s shoes and the wooden bunny and squirrel are available from Koco Bino.
