Look at all these pretty pieces, I love this stuff, it’s simple and unfussy, the colours are calm and beautiful and so is the lovely lady who makes them. Everybody say hello to Jessica the crafty hands behind the 3-year old label Take Care Clothing.
I asked Jessica some well thought out questions (hee), like does she wear her own clothing, which she does, they especially come in handy when she’s unexpectedly slept over at her boyfriend’s house. Man making your own clothes must be so cool.
Her most favourite piece of clothing to design are tops and when I asked her if she could make something for anyone in the world who would it be, she said she would design something for Lady Gaga – flip what would be awesome because that crazy would wear anything. I would make her a microwave dress so that when we’re hanging out together and the conversation hits a lull, I can make some popcorn in it or warm up a steak or something, that way I can keep myself entertained and at the same time get my picture in the Heat magazine. Awesome.
I also asked Jessica how it makes her feel when she sees a stranger wearing her clothes. I loved her answer, which was: My next few steps become slightly more bouncy, and I want to say to the stranger “I made that!” (In my case I would be wondering how the hell they got into my flat!)
So seeing as it’s getting chilly out, Jessica has graciously given me one of her latest Winter designs to give to one of you guys. How awesome?!
