Let me ask you guys a question when last did you go out and have a bunch of photos printed? If you’re anything like me then you have thousands of photos on your phone, computer and hard drive, but hardly ever print any out. I often have a moment when I look at a photo that I’ve taken or posted and think, that would be a great one for a frame or the fridge, or to just give to my mom. BUT 9 times and of 10 I don’t go and get anything printed and they just stay floating around in the Cloud and beyond.
There is just something about holding a photograph in my hand that transports me back, back to the time when there was no such thing as Instagram and a camera roll on your phone that was able to hold more pics than fish in the sea! If you think about it, photographs are like memories worth remembering. Moments in time that make you feel a certain way, moments that need some form of evidence that they existed other than a picture in your head. It’s actually pretty sad if you think about how many photos we all probably take that will never see the light of day again because they’ll be stored and then forgotten about.
I’m currently working with Epson to celebrate the photograph, the printed version of it. I’ve been playing around with their new hi-tech Epson Ecotank L6170 3-in-1 Wi-Fi Printer, which is super easy to use what with it’s Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct, which means you can send files to print straight from your smart devices. This function really makes me happy because I actually download a lot of my photos to my phone from my camera, so the fact that I can print them straight onto premium glossy paper in an instance is amazing!
This printer also includes an SD card slot, borderless printing, dual paper trays, a LCD screen and it comes with enough ink to print up to 1,500 photos!
When this baby arrived I knew exactly what I wanted to print first and that was some of our photos from our trip to Greece because it feels like it happened a lifetime ago and Shane and I literally talk about it every second day. So, in went the paper and out came our holiday in all it’s Greek glory. Then I decided to hang them up in our dining room so that we could see them every day and have a visual reference to go along with our long, sad sighs 🙂
I have really enjoyed playing around with this compact Epson printer, every time another photo pops out I feel like a kid that’s been forgotten in a well-stocked candy store AND guess what else I’m really going to enjoy…..giving one of these super awesome printers worth almost R7000 to one of you guys because the folk at Epson and myself feel that photos shouldn’t only live on your screen but in your home too.

I would love to print my grandkids pictures that I have on my phone. All my pictures when we were in the Kruger Park, Sani Pass, Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Mpumalanga. We live in such a beautiful Country and it is time to show off my pictures.

I’m exactly the same! I tell hubby probably every weekend that we should get photos printed but we just never get to it! We have a couple of empty frames standing around and some in desperate need of updated photos.. the last time we had pics printed was with our wedding back in 2015. Our baby girl was born in Feb this year so we have thousands of pics (digitally off course) and neet to print them so we can have some of her and our family up in our home too – gosh we have some amazing pics, it’s a shame they’re not printed and ‘alive’ on our walls.. I’m startig to feel bad about this now!

I live in a digs with three of my bestfriends and we so often say that we should print our photos that we take, for our house. We still haven’t quite gotten around to printing anything. I often think about how sweet it would be, to be a wrinkly little old granny, holding a hardcopy photograph ( which by that time will probably be something that is super old school), smiling back at my student digs days.

I have empty picture frames waiting for me to choose and print the pictures. In my pictures would be my children, Summer, Kian and Connor from our epic trip up the western and northern cape this year August to see the flowers (and some of my favourite flower macro’s). I love collecting and keeping memoirs of my little ones growing, every memory is beautiful. I also celebrate my great granfather who is now passing the 100 year mark in life! We feel soo blessed to have him still. I lost my camera with over 800 family photos because I hadnt been printing for a few years, the last I printed was 6 years ago when my daddy passed and I was doing a memoir and an orbituary. I since lost the last beautiful memories we shared. Now I am so jealous in preserving every memory with all my family.

My hubby and I really enjoy taking photos as a hobby. Everywhere we go, our cameras go with us… Initially we had only bought one to share, but after our first outing with it, we were in the shops the next day buying another camera so that we didn’t have to share! (The camera was on special thank goodness).
