There is a wonderful local site that I often order things off of called Faithful to Nature who sell authentically natural and organic products that have been personally checked by them, so that you know without a shadow of a doubt that every single thing from their wide offering has been checked to make sure that it really is as green and as safe as its manufacturers claim it is!
Faithful To Nature sells all sorts of awesome products and one of the things that I love the most about them is that most of their goods are locally made as they always try to support local where they can! Their products are cruelty-free and they do not sell anything that they suspect or are aware contain GMO ingredients. So whether you are looking for citrus scented organic dishwashing liquid; organic pumpkin seeds; an organic anti-cellulite cream; vegan nail polish or gluten free flour, you’ll be sure to find it here. They also sell homeware, things for your pets, gifts and the list goes on.
Faithful To Nature asked me if I’d share my Winter skin routine with them and seeing as they stock one of my favourite local skin care products, Skoon I jumped onboard. They have also given me a R500 voucher to give to one of you guys, in case you see something on their site that you fancy (competition details are below).
My skin, in general, is pretty normal, but come Winter time it does become slightly drier and in need of a bit more love and nourishment and Skoon offer a variety of products that do just that. I bought four different things from them and I’m not going to lie I’m loving every single one. Their products are always made up of amazing textures and smells and it doesn’t hurt that they come in some pretty awesome packaging!
Have any of you used Skoon before?
Something I tried for the first time was their Ruby Marine Overnight Hydrating Mask made from a rich blend of organic coconut oil and wildflower honey which soothes and hydrates your skin while you sleep. I’ve tried it out a couple of times since ordering it and my face loves it as much as I do and I can honestly feel a difference come morning time.
I also for the first time ever tried their Beautifuel Double Thick Cream Moisturiser. Its name pretty much sums it up to a T. It’s rich and indulgent and I’m not going to lie, every now and then I think about eating it!
The other two products I ordered which my skin is no stranger to, is their Glow Drops Concentrate which is their best seller and for good reason, it adds an instant soft luminosity to your skin and makes it feel super soft. This stuff is amazing, so give it a try if you haven’t already, it’s a real treat for your skin. I also bought a new stash of Whitewash Purifying Clay Cleanser, this product uses the principle of soap-free cleansing so the natural science behind this mineral mousse is that it keeps blemishes at bay by scooping debris from your pores while leaving vital oils intact. This cleanser is one of the best ones I’ve ever used, I’ve actually struggled to find one that I really like, but I like this one and that’s why it forms part of my regular skin routine.
Faithful To Nature has quite a few of my favourite local products on it, like Lula and Marula, Kuro-Bo, Pure Beginnings and Oh Lief, just to name a few and what’s great is that they are all in one place and I can pick and choose and have them delivered straight to my house in one go.
What are some of your Winter skin routines? I’d love to hear about them. I’d also like to hook one lucky reader up with a R500 Faithful To Nature voucher that you can spend on some goodies for yourself.
