Decorex Saturday

August 8, 2011

Jo and I went to Decorex on Saturday morning. When we arrived and were confronted by 2 long queues, which we got to skip (literally we skipped) right past. I think I could get used to having media passes hee.

Anyway we had a good look around and saw some really cool stuff. I held back on the spending side of life, mainly because the one lot of stuff I really really wanted were quite pricey, but oh so super beautiful. I cooed over these wooden pieces of joy for like 20 minutes. These cake stands and candle stick holders are made by a company called Goet. They also had some beautiful furniture pieces at the show.

Also loved the delicate pasta and dipping sauces bowls and the amazing and crazy centre piece made up of odd ceramic pieces. So so quirky, I’m so sorry I don’t have the names of the designers who made them….Yes that is a Marmite jar with a dove on the lid. Yes I know, so awesome.

We also saw such cool designs from STOWE & so, REcreate Veldt, Tintown, Design Team and Essential Life, just to name a few. Have a look at their stuff below xx

Jo bought the faceless wooden girl above, she is very sweet. And I bought one of the vases on the left from the nicest man, shame I felt so sorry for him, he was so proud of his work and when I said I would take one he was so happy. His name is Chris, if you are wanting one. Also bought this little monkey because it’s holding a banana handbag hahhaa. So cute.

*Thanks again Roxane for the tickets, they were much appreciated. Hope everyone that won a set enjoyed it as much as we did x xx
